An Aasimar Rogue. Understands Orcish, which let him catch the boarding party's order to search the Arbitus. Fascinated by, and furious at being charmed by, the vampire Welsea Parenthe. Brother of Iltiza Ward and son of Leonore.

Backstory
The Wards lived happily in a small coastal town, the children unaware of their mother Leonore's heritage, the source of their own celestial blood. When Keithalas's celestial powers began to surface at fourteen (his sister Iltiza was eleven), their parents turned worried and secretive, growing paranoid. Unknown to the children, they had noticed the townsfolk acting strangely, as though something were influencing them.
They were told to pack and leave. The night they meant to go they were attacked, and fled into the village only to be surrounded by the very neighbours they had thought friends. Their mother told their father to take the children and run, and he did, carrying Iltiza and pulling Keithalas by the hand toward the docks while Leonore stayed behind, shouting at someone. Their father got them to a boat, set them in it and kicked it from the shore; they watched him cut down as they drifted out to sea.
Sailors picked them up a day or two later and left them at the next dock along. They waited for their mother. She never came.
Keithalas turned to a life of crime to keep them both alive; Iltiza turned to a temple, especially once her own powers showed through in healing. It has been about ten years. They have stuck together throughout and learned to trust the group as much as they can, Iltiza the more trusting of the two, and both have stayed remarkably optimistic despite everything.
Keithalas dreams of the night it all happened. Iltiza has strange dreams and visions of her own that do not quite make sense. For both, the dreams are coming more often of late.

- Leonore: mother; a fallen Aasimar now considered evil (possessed, brainwashed, or a true believer; unknown). Kei has sworn to kill Jaag Nixon if Jaag kills her, and is unhappy about Jaag's wooing of her, though he prefers it to the alternative.
