Jaag Nixon

Pasted image 20260628133925.png

A sharp-tongued rogue and the author of the in-character journal. Fights with a rapier that carries a cold enchantment and uses Fancy Footwork to slip out of melee. Speaks Draconic, hails from Brixton, and was the one to spot that Welsea Parenthe cast no reflection.

Originally from the Dread Realm, the domain of Crudo. Shares this origin with Lavinia Zafir. Both carry a strange affinity for The Red Lady, first encountered there. Jaag is known to sing a strange song when she comes to mind, apparently without entirely meaning to.

Status: Alive (level 8)
First appears: Chapter 11 - Episode 1 - Session 1 The Silver Pyramid

Joining the party

Jaag is a late addition to the group. He fell in with them at a ball hosted by Crudo, where he was midway through seducing a prominent socialite when he noticed that a certain band of guests was carrying a bag of weapons, and was in the middle of a heist. That band was the party.

His first instinct was to turn them in for the reward. Instead he threw in with them, seeing in that heist his chance to leave behind a murky past of petty and high crime and to finally see the world beyond the Dread Realm, the pocket dimension that had been the whole of his life until then.

Outlook

Jaag is highly mercenary, forever angling to turn a situation into coin (the party's habit of selling off found magic, the Enchantment Arrow and Transmutation Arrow among it, owes more than a little to him). Lately, though, he has begun to realise, slowly, that there may be more to life than coin.
